  1. Hi I would like to apologize for my extreme outburst on twitter yesterday, it was out of order, way to strong, and something which hate, bullying, which i did in public, which in its self is bad enough, to be honest with you, that was the first time i have ever done that in public, i would at least do it in private, anyway, i really am so sorry, I cant apologize enough for its strength and hurt it may have caused.

Hope you can accept this apology, I am ashamed of myself at the way i acted.

    Popupsncockups…….

  2. apology accepted. It didn’t hurt me I get a lot of hassle from people because my views are a bit ‘out there’ sometimes but I never make it a personal fight if I can help it. Deep down I htink we are all on the same side.

best wishes to you and yours

    QRG

Hey quiet riot girl – read you blog on the Daniel Craig James Bond short – would really appreciate your critique of ActionAid’s Get Lippy campaign. We’re asking people in the UK to send messages of support to women marching for their rights in Africa and Asia around International Women’s Day and also say what they think is the best and worst thing about being a woman in today’s world. We’re working with a mix of bloggers, celebrities and non celebrities to get our messages across. Log on here and see what you think: http://www.actionaid.org.uk/102779/get_lippy.html .

BTW what does ‘gender binaries’ mean?

    Thanks

    Jane

Just so you know, I commented several times at the good men project regarding hugo’s latest: “Yes, Rape Victims Get Erections, Too”.

Two of my comments backed you up and engaged in a discussion with Tom Matlock, regarding whether you had made a personal attack against Hugo when you said you questioned his motives and statements.

At some point in the past few hours, someone went through and “remoderated” all of my comments.

My comments were not spam, not defamation, contained no profanity, and were only my opinions and arguments.

That they were remoderated and hidden from others is one reason why I question the statements and motives of the good men project and would be happy to see the website die.

Anyway, here’s to a day of honest moderators.

  7. Hi sweetie I am reviving my gender-focussed twitter handle, follow @jasperswardrobe, what’s your twitter again? it says @quietriot_girl in your blog contacts

QRG, if your readers sent in some questions on the topics you cover in your blog, would you be available to answer them?

    Thanks

    Hi QGR,

Just wanted to address your comment on my piece at the Quietus: I assure you I didn’t copy any of your piece in writing my article. I’m not sure I’ve even seen it before now. There are a lot of articles on the subject going around, and I only wrote mine because my editor asked me to. It’s a big coincidence that we both mention Moran, but a coincidence nonetheless – I hope you’ll agree that I mentioned her for quite a different reason. We also diverge in our approaches to the topic – for example, I don’t think I find mumsy cupcake feminism to be as prescriptive or damaging as you do. (And I can respect that opinion.)

I don’t want to claim any glory or ownership over the opinions I expressed, either. Please don’t imply to people that I’m a plagiarist for having had similar ideas to yours. It’s not my best or most coherent work, but I still put a lot of work into it. Thank you.

    • hi Meryl

I thought it was a coincidence – that’s what I said to the people I tweeted my post to.

Yes I haven’t read Caitlin Moran’s book either.

I’m glad you wrote it – it is more grist to my mill!

      • Meryl says:

Great – just wanted to clarify.

(And yeah, picking at a book you haven’t read is hugely unprofessional, I’m sure, but I never claimed to be a professional.)

        Good luck millin’.

  10. […] around on others blogs, I realized I could create my own. I even left a shoutout to QRG on her contact page for the […]
