OK This has blown my tiny old-fashioned analogue mind.

Second Life- that ‘other world’ that I dare not contemplate, let alone visit, where people buy and sell virtual real estate and lead double lives as avatars alongside their ‘real life’ existence, has gone Metrosexy.

According to a blogger, Too Sexy Magazine, who may actually reside full-time in Second Life, a new ‘fashion store’ has taken virtual reality to a new metrosexual level:

‘The fashion is geared towards the men of Second Life, showing that it’s ok to be metrosexual. In fact – it’s damn sexy!!!!’

I don’t know what else to say. I am a bit scared…

The metrosexuals are like yuppies were in the early 80’s. Sort of a ‘so what!’ pride in their choices. The yuppies were career and financially motivated. A dissidence in contrast to the rock and roll conformity of their peers.

Metrosexuals are similarly dissident, but I can’t very well describe the particular conformity of their peers to which they, sort of, oppose.
