Ten Things I Know About Gender

1. You don’t have a gender; you do gender.

2. I’d like to be free from gender norms.

3. Cis and transgender people are people, not genders.

4. Gender is always mixed up with ethnicity, sexuality, class, age and culture.

5. Doing gender is hard work.

6. Gender and violence are never far apart.

8. Masculinity is the most unexamined aspect of gender.

9.  Gender and power are inextricably linked.

10. My response to gender is to hack it.

    I guess my first point: we don’t have gender, we do it tried to cover the sex/gender thing.
